Robert received a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Gustavus Adolphus College. Aitken earned a Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law on May 13, 2000. At the University of North Dakota School of Law, Aitken was president of the Native American Law Students Association, clerk of Phi Alpha Delta, and co-chair of the Student Orientation Committee. Aitken was admitted to practice law by the Minnesota State Bar Association on October 20, 2000.
Prior to joining Hazelton & Rodgers P.C., Aitken interned as a law clerk for the Minnesota State Board of Public Defense in Bemidji and Crookston for two years. Previously, Aitken was employed by the Leech Lake Reservation as Personnel Director.
Rob intends to concentrate his practice in the civil litigation of personal injury claims and workers' compensation. Additionally, Aitken has a particular interest in Social Security Disability; and federal, state and tribal Indian Law.
